So. After last Mondays post, I actually took the time to look and saw that I had miscounted my posts by 3. While we are Close to the 100 mark, we're not as close as I'd thought. This actually came as somewhat of a relief to me, because there are things I would like to include in that post that I haven't really had the time to deal with this week... Been busy.

This week, I was looking through the archives to see if there was anything that I had neither shown you all yet, and that I was ready to post. I know (and I knew before she said anything) that that is incorrect gramatically, but my wife (standing behind me) felt compelled to correct me, so I feel compelled to spite her. I have a couple of older images to share.

This first one I did about five years ago as a thank you card for a family friend. Once or twice a year, he goes to Haiti as part of a medical mission.
The second image is a t-shirt design I did last year for the organization to use as part of their fund raising for the 2009 trip.
Last I heard, their trip that was scheduled for this February has been postponed until March, due to current events in that part of the world.

Wow. This was a really horribly written post. Ugh. Until tomorrow... Take care and be good.

Jeffrey

Daily Life 012: Abby the Explorer

Christmas morning on the way out the door to drive to Warrensburg and see Grammy. Abby was all dressed in her PJs with a winter coat, hat and (of course) her cowboy boots. Also the Santa lantern that Daddy Jim had given her on Christmas Eve... While Amy was watching her step out the door, she commented that Abby looked like a little explorer.

SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY!!! Let's get this Show back on the ROAD!

So. It's just Amazing how quickly a one-month break turns into two. It seems that with the new year always comes a fresh batch of work, putting MY work on the back burner. That's really such an easy excuse, isn't it? "Sorry, I was too busy to update my blog."

That's got to change. Really.

One of the reasons (probably the biggest reason, really) why so many of us in the art and design field have blogs as well as dedicated websites, is the timeliness and ease of updating them. Too often, I guess, I fall into the trap of wanting to write (and write, and write) talking about what's going on in my life, and the work that I'm doing, and the work that I'm showcasing.

That is wonderful. Also part of the blog experience. I like to think that you all come here not only to see the latest batch of scribbles, but also to read me ramble. I guess that's really neither here nor there, and there's NO reason to check in if there's nothing new to see.

What I'm trying to say is this. In spite of the fact that I'm busy. In spite of the fact that I didn't get everything that I wanted to get done to relaunch all of the new blog elements in style... at the same time, and in conjunction with my redesigned website. In spite of whatever. I will make the time to put something on here. For you, but mostly for me.

Today, I have a couple of graphics from my website to share with you.

I'm thinking of using this style of graphic as headers for the different blog segments every week.

What do you all think?

Here's to the start of a brand new year. One of SEVERAL exciting changes, and one that is still pregnant with possibilities.
Until next time, take care and be good.

Jeffrey

Just one more post until I hit 100. Then, I AM going to change the name of this blog. LQTM.
