That's got to change. Really.
One of the reasons (probably the biggest reason, really) why so many of us in the art and design field have blogs as well as dedicated websites, is the timeliness and ease of updating them. Too often, I guess, I fall into the trap of wanting to write (and write, and write) talking about what's going on in my life, and the work that I'm doing, and the work that I'm showcasing.
That is wonderful. Also part of the blog experience. I like to think that you all come here not only to see the latest batch of scribbles, but also to read me ramble. I guess that's really neither here nor there, and there's NO reason to check in if there's nothing new to see.
What I'm trying to say is this. In spite of the fact that I'm busy. In spite of the fact that I didn't get everything that I wanted to get done to relaunch all of the new blog elements in style... at the same time, and in conjunction with my redesigned website. In spite of whatever. I will make the time to put something on here. For you, but mostly for me.
Today, I have a couple of graphics from my website to share with you.
I'm thinking of using this style of graphic as headers for the different blog segments every week.
What do you all think?Here's to the start of a brand new year. One of SEVERAL exciting changes, and one that is still pregnant with possibilities.

First, I'm so glad to see you posting again! Second, I think the blog headers are awesome and I wish I could do that! Finally,(and this is subtle, but what can you do?)I'm finding that the blogging thing is very personal. We develop our posse, or, in my case, our adopted blogkids and blogcousins, and we begin to care about them...even if we would seem to have little in common originally other than a mutual friend. So, you're stuck with me. I think you're marvelously talented and I trust Amanda's good taste in people. Now, how can I help you?
Thanks for stopping in Nance! I've been thinking lately that we (and when I say that, I really mean I, but I seem to like projecting my thoughts onto others) are looking for connections and community in a world that is increasingly global. I find that I enjoy and relate to normal, everyday things and tend to seek them out. Giving and getting comments back is the icing on the cake. It helps me know that I'm not just casting bottles into the void.
My comments always make more sense in my head than they do when I write them down. LOL
